We are the dedicated members of the Mid-Hudson Valley Alumnae Chapter (MHVAC), proudly serving the communities across the scenic Hudson River region. Our chapter is committed to implementing the programs and vision of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, by focusing our service around the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

Economic Development
Educational Development
International Awareness and Involvement
Physical and Mental Health
Political Awareness and Involvement

We actively engage in impactful service across four key counties: Dutchess, Ulster, Putnam, and Orange—from Poughkeepsie to Newburgh, Kingston to Carmel, and all the towns in between.

Through these focused programmatic thrusts, we strive to make a measurable difference in the lives of our neighbors. Our Annual Prayer Breakfast

Prayer Breakfast

At the A.S.K. Him Prayer Breakfast, we are proud to honor the Rev. Dr. Dollyann N. Briggs.

Rev. Dr. Briggs is the Pastor of Baptist Temple Church Newburgh and leads her peer pastors and faith leaders as President of the Christian Ministerial Fellowship of Newburgh & Vicinity.

Notably, Rev. Dr. Briggs is the first woman to lead the Fellowship, which aims to provide service, community engagement opportunities and collective faith support to area residents.

Among other first, Rev. Dr. Briggs is the first woman to be Assistant General Recording Secretary of the Empire Missionary Baptist Convention, and Vice Moderator for the Central Hudson Baptist Association of New York. Additionally, Rev. Dr. Briggs serves as a board member for the Holy Light Pentecostal Ministries School of Ministry and Education.
