The Mid-Hudson Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., through its International Awareness and Involvement programatic thrust, invites the community to join us in observing World AIDS Day 2025.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. nationally dedicates December 1st each year to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support those affected by HIV/AIDS. Our local chapter continues this commitment by hosting a special event focused on education, advocacy, and community support.
Our Goals for the Mid-Hudson Valley Community
In alignment with our national mandate, the Mid-Hudson Valley Alumnae Chapter's World AIDS Day initiatives are focused on:
-
Increasing Community Understanding: Providing accurate and current information about HIV/AIDS prevention, transmission, and treatment.
-
Reducing Stigma: Fostering a supportive environment and encouraging open dialogue to eliminate the shame associated with the illness.
-
Emphasizing Disproportionate Impact: Highlighting the critical need for testing and education, particularly within communities disproportionately affected, such as Black women.
-
Advocacy and Support: Providing resources and commemorating those who have lost their lives to AIDS.
We encourage you to mark your calendars and join us as we work together to promote health, wellness, and global awareness right here in the Mid-Hudson Valley.

Arts and Letters Delivers a Powerful Showcase!
The recent Arts and Letters Showcase, presented by the Mid-Hudson Valley Alumnae Chapter, was a truly impactful and successful event.
This powerful production highlighted the incredible talent within our community and deeply resonated with attendees.
A special highlight of the evening was last Saturday's compelling "Drop the Mic" session, where our past chapter president, Dr. Lynnette Williams, masterfully served as both MC and a captivating poet..
Well done ladies, We CANT WAIT until next year's event
