Join us for an educational forum with special guest speaker Ms. Linda Banks Hakim, M.S., Program Administrator of HIV Prevention Programs within its Sexual Health at the Westchester County Department of Health (WCDH). Ms. Hakim has over twenty years of varied experience with HIV/AIDS in government, social service and healthcare sectors; including contract compliance, contract & grant management, managing multi service organizations, outreach, program/staff development and has conducted research while working at Columbia University School of Social Work Project Eban. During her career she has been appointed to several boards, and sits on state and local committees which address health disparities in marginalized communities.

The Mid-Hudson Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. presents Dr. Jeanne L. Noble "DELTA GEMS" a free program for young women high school Ages 14-18 (Grades 9-12). The Delta GEMS Youth Initiative program features free workshop topics on: Education (Colleges/Universities - Virtual Tours), Discovering Careers, Finance and Budgeting “Show me the money”, STEM projects & Opportunities, and “Health and Wellness”.
The Delta GEMS program offers a road map for college and career planning through activities that provide opportunities for self-reflection and individual growth. Delta GEMS, like Delta Academy, is implemented by chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Delta GEMS participants have the opportunity to define and “Discover their individual Brilliance.”
